There's nothing better than knowing that your hair looks and feels healthy, soft and shiny. It really makes a difference to your day. So what do you do on those bad hair days when your barnet isn't looking so fresh and full of life? Slap on a hair mask of course! But which one? Luckily for you we have tried and tested some of the most 'hyped about' hair masks to see how they perform on real women's hair and if they're worth the money.

Moroccan Oil Restorative Hair Mask

This hair mask from Moroccan Oil has a very slick appearance and opens easily (handy if you're applying it while in the shower). The product applied very smoothly and smelt beautifully floral. My hair is quite wavy and normally lacks shine but after using this mask I noticed that my hair was a lot smoother, manageable and felt instantly stronger. My hair was easier to comb through, looked healthier and was so shiny! I would definitely use the Restorative Hair Mask from Moroccan Oil again!

Coco and Eve Like A Virgin Nourishing Coconut & Fig Hair Masque

I was pleasantly surprised with this hair mask from Coco and Eve as it came with its own special comb. The coconutty smell was also divine! I applied it to wet hair after shampooing and brushed it through with the comb (which is suitable for using in the shower). The texture was like silk and I was surprised at how little I needed to cover all of my hair as it spread really easily. I left it for 10 minutes as advised and then washed it out. My hair instantly felt softer and smoother, and when it was dry it was noticeably shinier and less frizzy. My hair also held the coconut smell for a good two days. The only downside I could find is that it did weigh my hair down a little and made it slightly flat, so if you have naturally fine hair or like lots of volume then I'd recommend applying this mask to the ends of your hair only to ensure this doesn't happen. But overall I was very impressed and would definitely use this Coco and Eve hair mask again!
